A Versatile and Stylish Addition to Your Home

Arasta stands out with its versatility and multi-functionality. It is designed to provide solutions for various needs during the entrance and exit of a space. The revolving tray, cleverly integrated into the thin legs of the bench, allows for easy access to items and creates additional storage space. The entire revolving tray mechanism is ingeniously solved within the leg, showcasing the designer's attention to detail and commitment to seamless design.

One of the key strengths of Arasta is its ability to be packaged and assembled by a single person. The bench is designed with different proportions and materials, ensuring optimal seating comfort. The layered use of different materials not only adds visual interest but also enhances the overall user experience.

Surton has employed specially manufactured turning parts to bring Arasta to life. These turning parts offer eight different technical solutions, all neatly integrated into the 16mm diameter tube feet without compromising the design's aesthetic appeal. The revolving tray can be easily operated from both the arm and the tray itself, providing maximum convenience and functionality.

Arasta's dimensions are 1200mm x 480mm x 850mm, with a seat height of 450mm x 1200mm. When the revolving tray is fully closed, the depth of the bench is 480mm, and when fully opened, it extends to 850mm. Thanks to its disassembled form, Arasta can be packaged in a compact size, making it easy to transport and assemble in any space.

Designed in 2020 in Ankara, Turkey, Arasta presented several challenges during its development. The team successfully overcame the design challenge of producing two arms with different functionalities while maintaining a consistent appearance. Additionally, enabling the revolving tray to rotate from both the arm and the tray required innovative turning parts, which were skillfully integrated into the design.

Arasta is not only a functional piece of furniture but also a statement of style and sophistication. Its unique design and attention to detail have earned it the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2022. This award recognizes Arasta's outstanding creativity, resourcefulness, and contribution to improving the quality of life through innovative design.
